Namespaces and profiles
Understand personal namespaces, organizations, profiles, and stable URLs.
Namespaces give people and organizations stable public homes on Upstream.
Personal namespaces
Your verified Coline identity owns a personal workspace. Your handle is its public Upstream namespace and profile URL:
https://upstream.codes/{handle}
You can choose whether the profile and contribution history are public. Hidden profiles resolve as not found and do not appear in actor links or sitemaps.
Organization namespaces
A team workspace can present itself as an Upstream organization. Public presentation and public member listings do not grant workspace access; they are deliberate display settings over the existing workspace.
Renames
When a handle or workspace slug changes, Upstream retains a canonical redirect where possible. Repository URLs, Git remotes, and public pages resolve through the same namespace registry.
Contributions
Public contribution activity uses verified email ownership for commit attribution. Unverified email strings do not attach commits to a profile.
